Wills Wing brought out the T3 competition hang glider in the first half of 2019, and instantly saw it winning competitions, starting with Filippo Oppici’s gold at the 2019 Governador Valadares meet.
Filippo Oppici said:
“The T3 is the best glider that I have flown in 32 years. Most coordinated, balanced and nicest handling glider I have ever had, in both light and strong thermal conditions. Fun and performance at the top like I’ve never experienced before”.
Wills Wing say the T3 is “a breakthrough in competition-class hang gliding and performance”, explaining:
“Its outstanding design feature is a new system of bearings in the wingtips, which WW say offer “extraordinary improvements in handling and control authority”. This makes it all the better to thermal with, granting slower and more precise control in the climb.
“The sail has been through refinements to the fit and finish, to the planform shape, and features a new panel layout and bottom surface colour pattern. All T3s include the new bearing tips, UV-film laminate top surface, speed battens, carbon basetube, rear leading edges and sprogs and carbon raked tips”.
