Swing release Twin 3 RS Tandem (EN B)

1 February, 2024

Swing have announced the Twin 3 RS – a tandem paragliding wing they describe as: “Pure fun, simply shared.”

Swing say it is a brand new design which has “excellent launching characteristics” even in challenging situations. The canopy curvature delivers a “harmonious balance between roll dampening and handling to give a safe feeling to passengers, even in turbulent air”.

It has been designed with commercial and recreational tandem pilots in mind and Swing say it has many features to help them share the joy.

There are subtle details like the reduced brake pressure which is to help reduce fatigue and extend your flying day, and a Big Ear Aid for fatigue-free rapid descent where outer A lines can be locked in a rope clamp only needing a light pull to release them.

It also features Swing’s RAST system: Ram Air Section Technology. This divides the canopy internally into different pressure zones. Swing say this helps to keep pressure in the glider during collapses and provides additional support to the glider’s shape, having a “positive effect on flight comfort”.

The Twin 3 RS has Nitinol wires on the leading edge as well as strips of more robust 70g/m² material to reduce wear and tear. It also includes trimmers with 15cm of travel for more speed reserve to cover the “huge” weight range of 130-230kg.

The wing comes in one, 42m² size and three colours: petrol, lime and flame. Swing say the Twin 3 RS is a “well-rounded package”.
