Pro Design have announced the forthcoming release of a new all-rounder paramotor wing, called the X-Fire.
They say it’s a safe, stable and fun-to-fly glider and is suitable for new PPG pilots, yet it has enjoyable agile and quick handling. hey add that it’s easy to groundhandle, and it inflates quickly and comes smoothly overhead at launch.
The X-Fire uses Pro Design’s Optiflex® technology, a reflex system which enables the pilot to trim the wing differently: slow for launch or landing approach, fast for cruising. The glider also has a speed system which Pro Design recommend using in non-turbulent conditions, and always with the trimmers in the slow, neutral position.
A tip-steering system means the pilot can perform small, flat turns while flying fast (using the speedbar or trimmers), without slowing the system down. Pro Design say the wing has a good top speed.
Certification is ongoing (May 2016), but Pro Design expect the X-Fire to pass DGAC and EN B in the two sizes, 22m² for 60-80kg/60-120kg, and 24m² for 75-95kg/75-140kg.
