Martin Sandwith wins Borders round of BPCup

3 June, 2009

The first round of the British Paragliding Cup took place in the Scottish Borders from 9 – 12 May. Wind and rain meant that only one task, a 45 km run from Broughton Heights to Hawick, was possible. Martin Sandwith was the first BPCup pilot in, ahead of Andy Plimmer and Tim Bridle, with Chris Harland winning the open. First female was Tania Ephgrave.

The next round will be in the Yorkshire Dales, on the weekend of 13 – 14 June.
