Little Cloud have announced the release of their own parakite: La Mouette (The Seagull). They describe it as a “soaring machine” specifically designed to work with their Kiterisers, giving angle of attack control and “speed-control at your fingertips”.
Little Cloud say it is suitable for a large range of flying styles from a smooth, comfortable ride to aggressive flying. This is thanks to its “extremely precise” and “progressive” control.
It is available in two groups: one optimised for light wind with a specific fabric blend and 5.9 aspect ratio, and a stronger wind version with a 5.2 aspect ratio they say has “extremely precise” handling and “instant” reactions.
Other features include sheathed lines, adjustable double handles with magnets, semi-closed leading edge cells and a progressive reflex profile.
Little Cloud designer, Tom Bourdeau said: “We didn’t just throw a strong reflex profile on a wing. We did a lot of thinking to establish what was really needed.” He added they have learned a lot to benefit other wings in the Little Cloud range, not just parakites.

The progressive reflex profile gives more stability the more you accelerate, according to Little Cloud. They say it avoids the downsides of a strong reflex profile such as lack of feeling, poor efficiency, and sudden stalling behaviour.
La Mouette will be available in five sizes: 14, 16, 19, 22 and 25m² with the two larger sizes coming later. Each size will come in a specific selection of four main colours – orange, pink, red and yellow.
