Gin Introduce Fuse 4 Tandem (EN B)

30 May, 2024

The Fuse 4 is Gin’s latest tandem paraglider for professionals, which they say offers maximum efficiency and reliability whilst also being fun to fly.

Designer Gin Seok Song said: “We were able to gather a large amount of feedback from tandem professionals around the world.” He added that most of the focus for the Fuse 4 has been on the materials, as these are important for both durability and flying characteristics.

It is made from Myungjin MJ32MF in different weights. The new 29g/m² cloth that is used on the lower surface was developed by Gin and Korean cloth manufacturers Myungjin. Gin say it offers “an extraordinary weight-to-durability ratio” and has been tested both in the lab and all over the world in different conditions. 32g/m² cloth is used on the top surface, with 40g/m² on the upper leading edge.

The trim riser has been upgraded with a new material that is 20% stronger, giving a “much longer” period before it needs replacing. Gin add that it is also easier to replace if it does wear out.

New, stiffer plastic rods in the leading edge ensure even easier inflation and improved handling, both of which are also improved by the lighter fabric.

Gin say the Fuse 4 marks a step forward from its predecessor, with easier inflation, lighter handling and a 3km/h faster top speed.

It is available in three colours – orange, green and flamingo – and sizes 37, 41 and 44m².
