Nearbirds have released the new Zippy 3, a lightweight cocoon harness for XC pilots. It weighs 3.2kg in size L, and fits into a 90l rucksack.
It is a hammock design, with a belt system that Nearbirds say ensures good back support. The ABS and seat position are adjustable, as is the cocoon leg length. There are two cocoon versions: a lightweight Skytex version with stretch inserts, or a fully stretchy Lycra pod. Both have a carbon foot plate.
The Zippy 3 has an inflatable 17cm protector, and a front-mount reserve container with instrument panel on top. Storage options include a large rear pocket and two internal pockets that can store gloves, food, radio etc. It also has a 4.5l under-seat ballast pocket.
The Zippy 3 is available in three sizes, and comes in black with a choice of seven trim-colour options.
