New from Icaro, is the EN C Maverick 3. Designed using new software it has a whole new profile, line geometry and tension compared to the Maverick 2.
The three-liner Maverick 3 now sports trailing edge and nose rods and a lighter construction, because “a lighter glider is also a more agile glider”.
The team say the wing has excellent performance, and is very easy to launch and offers relaxed and predictable flying, even in turbulence.
It features Icaro’s Trim-Speed Optimiser which facilitates a higher trim speed regardless of pilot weight (within the glider’s certified limits) and also compensates for the A and B lines naturally stretching more than the rear lines as the glider ages. (You can read more on the Trim-Speed Optimiser in Marcus King’s Instinct TE review in Cross Country 155).
