Advance have released the Alpha 5, an EN A paraglider for beginners and intermediate pilots, for whom top security will enhance the pleasure of flight.
The Alpha 5 is lighter than its predecessor. It uses nylon in the leading edge to support the cell openings, which gives it very easy takeoff behaviour. An ‘optimised’ internal structure, including diagonal ribs and cross ports in the cell walls, give it improved airflow and greater canopy stability.
Advance say the compact shape of the Alpha 5 makes it easy to handle, and the reduced line useage means better performance and top speed for those pilots who are looking to explore the countryside by paraglider.
The Alpha 5 is available in five colours and four sizes (23, 26, 28 and 31m). It is certified with an extra 15kg at the top of the weight range, so the glider can be flown heavily-loaded to make it more dynamic, and it will even take pilots on their first forays into acrobatic flying.
The recommended price for the Alpha 5 is €2,940.
