BogdanFly have designed a set of lightweight tandem harnesses that have enough storage space for tandem vol-bivouac adventures.
The pilot harness has a potential 50l of storage space – plenty for a camping adventure!
BF say the aim was to make pilot and passenger harnesses which are lightweight, durable and comfortable. They are both split-leg designs, made from Oxford 320D fabric with inflatable protectors. The pilot version has an inbuilt reserve compartment.
They are available in three sizes: M (160-175cm), L (175-183cm) and XL (183-190cm) and weigh 1.5kg for the pilot and 1.3kg for the passenger in size L.
BF told us the Twix harnesses have already been used on a tandem vol-bivouac adventure in the mountains of Spain, along with BF’s forthcoming new tandem wing, which weighs around 6kg. “The total weight of tandem equipment with harnesses and parachute was only 12 kg (backpack, wing, parachute, two parachutes, two helmets and a vario). Many pilots have a solo kit that weighs more!”
