The Sonic 3D is Sol’s new acro and freestyle wing, destined for experienced acro pilots at the top of their game. Sol hope it will keep up the reputation of its predecessors, which they say havealways been in the top rankings in competitions on the world acro circuit.
The Sonic 3D is built from materials selected for their strength and durability, after all the wing is designed to be thrown around and put through high-G manoeuvres. Sol have chosen WTX40 (40g/m3) fabric, and used carbon/Mylar reinforcements, with internal bracing and short lines.
Sol say the Sonic 3D is direct and sensitive to fly, with short and precise brake travel, and strong reactions in extreme manoeuvres.
It’s available in one, 18m2 size, and is uncertified.
