Sol's new EN-B, the Sycross 3
Sol have released their new EN-B paraglider, the Sycross 3. It’s aimed at cross-country pilots who fly at least 40 hours a year, and Sol say it has EN-C performance.
Updates include optimisation of the cell tensions, lower-drag stabilos and a mixture of 29, 36 and 40g/m2 fabrics which have resulted in a wing that is 500g lighter than its predecessor, at 4.95kg in the M. Sol say the materials they use are produced with lower environmental impact processes.
The Sycross 3 is a three-riser design, and the risers are a mixture of 12mm Dyneema straps and lines. They are designed to retain their intended dimensions while allowing reduced overall line consumption.
