London Mountain Film extravaganza

If you are passionate about the wild mountain regions of the world and their peoples, and can get to the Royal Geographical Society in London for an evening on Tuesday 16 March from 7 – 10 pm, then the Best of Kendal Mountain Film Festival event is a must.

Five short films will be shown before the main screening, ‘The Asgard Project’, winner of the People’s Choice Award at the Kendal film festival. The full programme of events and details of the films can be seen here.The following trailer is a taster of what is in store:

Tickets are £10, with all proceeds going to Porters’ Progress UK, a charity which support projects to improve the safety and welfare of mountain porters in the HImalaya and other mountain ranges.
