Mac Para have released their new EN-C two-liner: the Verve. Based on the Elan 3 and Magus, the Verve uses a combination of light fabrics and nitinol reinforcement to achieve a “very low weight”.
Mac Para say that the use of nitinol allows pilots to “leave the cell-by-cell packing to others” and – as long as you don’t treat it too harshly – the next time you unpack the glider it will look just as good as before.
The Verve is available in five sizes (S, M, L, XL and XXL) and three standard colours (gold, red, lime).

Winglets make a first-time appearance on a Mac Para production serial glider. Mac Para say these reduce the need for directional corrections in turbulent air and increase stability and performance during accelerated flight. The result, they say, is a “very stable, balanced and comfortable” two-liner that is easy to pilot and provides precise feedback.

The Verve is aimed at “frequent flyers with XC ambitions who have a high level of glider control skill”. Mac Para add that its light weight makes it suitable for hike-and-fly too.
