Oisín Creagh is planning to fly his paramotor on a 3,000km journey from Ireland to Morocco, to raise money and awareness for Gorta-Self Help Africa.
The Cork-based pilot plans to set out from Co. Antrim in August 2016, and expects his journey, which includes 100km over sea, to take around a month depending on weather, flying in the mornings and evenings when conditions are less thermic.

Oisín is hoping to raise money to support the work of Gorta-Self Help Africa, an Irish charity who work in drought-stricken Ethiopia where crop failures have affected close t0 20 million people this year. He says the charity are “making a real difference to the lives of some of the very poorest and most disadvantaged people in the world.”
You can make a donation through Self Help Africa website, and follow Oisín’s progress through Flyafrica’s Facebook page.
