Advance launch two new Alpha wings
Advance's entry level paraglider now comes in two variations
26 February, 2025, by Cross CountryAdvance have launched two new variants of the Alpha, their entry level paraglider. Now in its eighth generation, the Alpha is aimed at new pilots looking for maximum passive safety and a faithful partner to help them on the progression journey.

The Classic version is for beginners during and after training while the DLS is aimed at the qualified pilot who’s already looking to make their first cross country flights. It’s 800g lighter – making it suitable for hike-and-fly adventures – and has an enhanced glide performance.
Both wings are designed with ease, fun and safety in mind. “The Alpha series stands out with its clear line setup and colour-coded risers and brake handles, making ground handling especially intuitive. The wing launches effortlessly and is exceptionally easy to fly, thanks to its balanced pitch and roll behaviour,” say Advance.

The wings feature extended brake travel, allowing pilots to gradually explore new manoeuvres and tackle challenges with ease. Advance says the Alpha also has “high turbulence absorption” to make flights smooth and steady.
Both wings are available in five sizes from 50kg to 145kg and come in four colour options.
