Exomo electric power unit

Exomo is a plug-and-play electric power unit, built for paragliders and other ultralight aircraft.

It was developed by Aero Composites Saintonge, the company behind the prototype E-Fan two-seater electric aircraft that was made for Airbus, in collaboration with electric-paramotor school Aeronature.

The units comprise a 15kW electrical engine (20hp) with a low-noise carbon propeller, and a battery that allows over an hour of cruising flight. Its creators say the quiet operation, reliability and easy activation afforded by the electric motor provide a comfortable, silent flight in all surroundings, whether urban or natural.

Two Electric Powered Paragliders (EPPG) equipped with the EXOMO sets received awards at the first Electric Paramotor Slalom World Championships in Legnica, Poland (2015).

The Exomo is available with either a 45Ah battery, which offers 30 minutes’ flying time, or a 73Ah one which offers over an hour.
