The Slovenia leg of the 2011 British Paragliding Open series takes place in Kobarid from 28 May – 4 June. There are 150 places available in this FAI Cat 2 event.

xTc and Passion Paragliding are getting together to run a pre-comp training week from 22 – 28 May to familiarise pilots with the area, its launches and cross country potential. The training week costs £395 (475€) including transfers/flying fees, guiding and training but excluding accommodation. Contact Brett or Toby for more information or to book on the course.

A Polish competition follows the event, in the same location, so there is plenty of scope for getting to know the area.

The following is a promotional video for the Hungarian Open, and offers a little taster of the region.

The second of the two British Paragliding Opens will be held in St Jean de Montclar, Southern France, from 7 – 14 August.
