ASI FlynetXC: GPS vario weighing just 50g

ASI Flynet XC

ASI say the FlynetXC is the smallest GPS vario on the market, and weighing just 50g you could say that it is pretty small!

Inside this little square box of tricks is an acurate GPS, sensitive pressure sensor and audio variometer and accelerator with battery that lasts 12 hours.

The FlynetXC has Bluetooth 4.0 LE (low energy) technology and A USB port, and its functions can be set from your smartphone, PC, Mac or tablet.

The firmware is updateable.

It makes a great backup instrument for competitions, but you can also use it for cross-country flying. Paired with a smartphone or tablet, FlynetXC transmits the vario, GPS and accelerometer data and can be used with the mobile app of your choice.

The IGC record can be extracted directly using the USB link on PC/Mac/Linux systems without any additional software. In combination with an app supporting the standard GPS output sent out of the FlynetXC over the Bluetooth link, the battery autonomy of the smartphone or tablet increases significantly.

The IGC records are FAI /FIVL valid but also compatible with all XC servers over the world.

The Flynet XC costs around €280 before tax, and is compatible with all these apps:
