AirDesign have upgraded their Super-Simple Susi, and the SuSi 2 mountain mini wing is now on the scene.
AD say it’s small, light and easy to launch, all properties of a great mountain wing, but SuSi 2’s real strength is its glide; you can confidently set off on long valley crossings and expect to make it across. Its wide speed range is useful too, so it can cope with a good stiff mountain-top breeze.
In addition the company say the SuSi 2 damps turbulence well and is altogether more comfortable in the air, making it more accessible to a wider range of pilots.
AD say:
By implementing the Razor Edge technology we were able to increase the glide-ratio by one entire digit.
Its predecessor already proved strengths at various competitions – such as the Red Bull Dolomitenmann or the Red Bull Elements. With the increased glide, the SuSi 2 will set a new standard in this glider category.
SuSi 2 is available standard and superlight editions in four sizes: 14, 16, 18 and 20m2. The 18 is certified EN C, and the 20 EN D. The smaller sizes are not certified.
