AEF’s Cameleon throttle controller has been upgraded. Version 3 has a prominent easy-reach ‘off’ switch, close to the pilot’s thumb.
The V3 was designed to increase the OFF action accessibility, to address the problem reported by some pilots who have difficulties to catch it in stress situation. The OFF switch is now really increase in the bottom and near the thumb, so every pilots, especially beginners, could now use the Cameleon without any problem.
The unit wraps around the index finger, leaving the pilot’s hands free to operate the brakes, and the middle finger controls the gas.
AEF say an adapter kit is available to convert a Cameleon V2 to a V3, and the V3 and adapter kit will be on sale at the end of September 2015.
