Advance have released the new Pi 2, and they say it’s one of the smallest-packing and lightest wings on the market.
It’s small and also very versatile, say Advance. You can use it for hike-and-fly, mountaineering, thermalling or as a mini wing.
There are four sizes, 16, 19, 23 and 27m2, each of which has multiple weight ranges, with the certification varying according to wing loading.

The smallest, 16m2, size weighs just over two kilos and is certified EN C for hike-and-fly / mini wing use for 50-90kg all-up; the largest, 27m2, is a little over three kilos, and is certified EN A for 75-105kg or EN B from 105-120kg.
If weight is your ultimate priority, you can save 150g or so by opting for lightweight risers. Like the standard ones these have a speedbar connection, but they are ultra-skinny with minimalist brake handles and soft-links in place of maillons; the standard risers have slightly stiffer webbing, split-As and more standard-width brake handles.
The standard colour scheme is the one shown in the picture, white with an orange leading edge and blue trailing edge, but you can personalise your wing with your choice of colours.
Advance say the first demo wings will be available from December 2015.
