Advance‘s new basic intermediate wing, the Epsilon 6, will arrive on the market in February 2009.

To be marketed under the slogan “Explore new Skies”, Advance say the new Epsilon is aimed at the thermally-orientated intermediate pilot who, above all, wants to climb, climb, and climb again – as high as possible, and then maybe fly away from his local area. Due to its high passive safety Advance say the wing is even suitable for talented beginners.

Under the leadership of Thomas Ripplinger, the development team has concentrated on handling, the wing turning under light brake application and the pilot getting precise feedback through the brake lines. The wings also features a big ears system with Quick Snap as well as a two stage speed system with Speed-Performance-Indicator (SPI).

The certification tests for 26 and 28 sizes are already completed. The glider comes with EN certification and is graded LTF 1-2. It will be available in 5 colours and 4 sizes, and from the end of February you will be able to reserve test wings for trial flights at Advance test centres and dealers.
