If you are looking to capture super-steady shots with your GoPro Hero3, Chinese company Feiyu Tech’s 3-axis handheld gimbal may be just the device for you.
The light weight and lack of internal image stabilisation of the GoPro means there is no natural damping of movement, which can mean wobbly shots. This gimbal is specifically designed for the GoPro3 to combat this problem.
It’s easy to use, and has three operating modes: heading follow, heading and pitch follow, and lock mode (where heading, pitch and rolling are all locked). It runs from rechargeable batteries inside the handle.
There is also an aircraft mount version, which was designed for drones, but could equally be mounted on a paramotor or other mount.
