The Arriba3 is a lightweight multipurpose paraglider for hike-and-fly and travelling. Skywalk say it offers the same safety, agility and performance as the EN B Tequila4 that it is based on.
It slots into the lower end of the EN B category, say Skywalk, and is suitable for low airtime pilots, although this doesn’t mean it is lacking in the performance department. Skywalk co-owner Armin Harich flew a 303km flight on a Tequila 4 earlier in the year, and the Arriba 3 is equally capable. In fact, with being a kilo lighter and having thinner lines, they say, it has slightly better performance and is easier to launch.
Available in four sizes with a glider weight of 3.9 to 4.9kg, Skywalk say that an Arriba3 together with a Flex or Range Air harness and Pepper Light rescue chute will create a complete kit that weighs less than8 kilos.
Arne Wehrlin, head of skywalk’s paraglider division, says:
The Ariba3 was purposely designed not to max out the lightweight category, but rather to remain 100% suitable for daily use. Our goal was to create the ideal glider for all pilots who like to hike up to launch, or who prefer a lightweight glider for XC flying, or who like to travel with lightweight and compact equipment.
You can order the Arriba3 with either a Hike 80 litre mountain rucksack or the normal S rucksack.
