Red Bull X-Alps 09 athletes announced

16 November, 2008

The selection committee finally put 100 applicants out of their misery and announced the successful entrants to the 2009 X-Alps event on 31 October.

23 countries are represented in the international field, with South Africa and New Zealand being represented for the first time.

Many of the faces have been seen in previous events, with Alex Hofer (CH) back to defend his title, having won both times he took part previously. Andy Frotscher and Toma Coconea will have taken part in all 4 of the events, whilst 10 athletes are new to the event, including Switzerland’s Chrigel Maurer.

Profiles of all of the successful athletes can be seen on their website, at www.redbullxalps.com, and with 8 months to go until the big race start day, we wish them all the best in their training.
