Parasell is an online buying and selling intermediary service for used paragliding equipment, which offers both buyer and seller peace of mind.
It is run by German company Aircross‘s Konrad Görg, and offers a complete selling service: just post your equipment to them in Germany, and they will take care of everything.
They will carry out visual and porosity checks (if it’s a paraglider) on your item to assess its true condition before fairly pricing it, photographing it and creating an advert on their site for you.
They will also deal with potential buyers, take the payment and post the item to the successful buyer.
And how much does all of this cost the seller?
There is a listing fee of €24.90, but as a special introductory offer, until 31 December 2011 this fee is waived.
When when your equipment sells, Parasell take a commission whose amount varies between 3% and 12% depending on the value of the item (12% on an item which sells for €300 or less; 3% on items worth €1000 or over).
The site is currently available in German, with an English version under development.
