French firm Neo have released a super lightweight speedriding wing called the X-Lite for “wild ski-touring and mountain adventures”.
The X-Lite is a development of the X-Ride freeride wing, but it weighs just a smidge over a kilo (1.05kg in size 8, 1.35kg in size 10) and will easily fit into a daypack.
It’s an expert-level speedriding wing, being very small (available in 8, 9 or 10m2). Its handling is “extremeley precise” and its glide angle steep.
Constructionwise it’s made from 27g.m2 Skytex with Dyneema lines, and plastic battens in the leading edge. It has A and B risers and Neo’s SAS (Steep Active System).
The X-Lite is load tested to 6G and delivered in a 50 litre speed bag with compressible inner bag.
Manufactured in France from European materials.
