MacPara’s Hawaii is an aerodynamic pod harness for experienced cross country and competition paraglider pilots.
Made in Gin’s factory, it has evolved from the ever-popular Genie Race harness, but has a chest and shoulder strap system similar to other MacPara harnesses.
MacPara say the Hawaii gives excellent glider feedback, and its low hangpoints make it very sensitive to weightshift.
Comfort-wise, the Hawaii has extra back and shoulder support, and the entire seat area is made from breathable material. The angle of the seat plate can be adjusted. There are storage pockets on the side that can be easily accessed in flight, as can the deployment handle for the under-seat reserve.
The harness weighs in at 8.6kg including stainless steel karabiners and 12cm foam protection. Replacing the seat plate with a carbon one will save 400g, and you could shave off even more by using aluminium karabiners.
The Hawaii has both LTF and EN certification and is available in sizes S, M or L.
