The first three sizes of Gradient's EN C Aspen 4 are scheduled for release in November or December 2011
Gradient have revealed their replacement EN C paraglider, the Aspen 4, and it is expected to be on sale in November or December 2011.
The company say the new wing sets new standards in its class. Massive increases in performance are down to a 35% line saving over the Aspen 3, which has been possible because of the new Double Diagonal (DD) profile support system meaning only 48 line attachment points are needed.
The company say the Aspen 4 retains their “typical Gradient handling and predictable flight characteristics” that Aspen 3 pilots have enjoyed.
The 28m size has already passed its flight tests for certification, and the 24 and 26 sizes are in progress. A 22m version will follow after that. The whole range will cater for takeoff weights of 67 to 130kg.
The wing will be delivered with the company’s new-design rucksack.
