GPSDump flight software now available for Apple Mac OSX

22 March, 2010

GpsDump is a program that communicates between a GPS unit and a computer, downloading tracklogs to most popular GPS devices in the paragliding and hang gliding community, including Brauniger, Flytec, Garmin, MLR/Digifly/CPilot, XC Trainer and Flymaster. It can up- and download waypoints to some of these GPS units too.

Until recently the program only existed for PCs, but now Mac users will be happy to know there is a version for them too. Cross Country designer and associate editor, Marcus King, has tried it out, downloading tracklogs from a Flymaster unit and saving them as IGC files with no problems.

Developed by Norwegian pilot Stein Sørensen, GPSDump is used for the Norwegian XC-league and is an international flight logging standard.
