Gin have upgraded their Genie Race harness. The Genie Race 2 is both EN and LTF certified, and is aimed at experienced cross country and competition pilots. It is designed to give sensitive glider feedback and to be comfortable for long flights.

The cocoon angle can be adjusted to suit the glider’s angle of attack using four straps.

A new safety Get-up system links leg and chest straps, to prevent the pilot from falling out of his harness if he forgets to fasten the leg straps.

The Aerocone Inflatable Fairing system (AIF system) helps to minimise drag and enhance stability. A removable neoprene speed vest also reduces drag, as well as keeping the pilot warm. The speed system uses a large ball-bearing auto lock pulley that reduces the force needed to maintain accelerated flight (so reducing pilot fatigue) and wear.

The harness uses Dyneema webbing which is both stronger and lighter than conventional webbing. t comes with a flight deck (that can hold up to ten litres ballast) and 30 mm Gin carabiners.

There is a choice of two versions: one has Ronstan pulleys and a carbon seat plate, the other uses Harken pulleys and a wooden seat plate.
