Updated version of the two-liner offers a comp wing feeling
21 March, 2025Niviuk have released an updated version of the Artik R two-liner for experienced pilots racing in the sports class and those looking to make the step to a comp wing. Presented at Stubai Cup, Niviuk say the Artik R 2 is the most accessible two-liner in their range, and offers unparalled performance and comfort.
The two-liner design reduces the number of lines and therefore drag, thus improving performance. The lineset has been reduced by 2%, despite the addition of four more cells compared to the previous model. “Thanks to improvements in stability, a moderate 6.5 aspect ratio and Niviuk technologies applied in its design, the Artik R 2 offers increased passive safety,” says the Spain-based manufacturer, which this year celebrates its 20th anniversary.
They add: “The new profile is more stable than the previous model. Its internal structure has been completely redesigned. The Artik R 2 stands out for its efficiency in thermals and its stability at high speed, making it ideal for your first steps in competition.”
Niviuk also say the new profile is much more pitch stable than its predecessor – the wing dampens efficiently and cuts through the air mass without losing energy.
The Niviuk Artik R 2 is available in three colours and six sizes from 60kg to 125kg.
