Ozone pilots Charles Cazaux (FR) and Russell Ogden (GB) took first and second places in the PWC Superfinal, with Italy’s Luca Donini (Gin) in third.

Keiko Hiraki (JP, Axis) was top woman, 72 points ahead of France’s Elisa Houdry (Niviuk).

Charles and Russell were both in team Kortel, which took the top team prize, and Italy were first nation.

The Superfinal 2009, which took place at Poggio Bustone in Italy, only had four successful tasks out of eleven possible days’ flying, with bad weather working against the pilots on the other days.

Ozone were “overjoyed” with the result and congratulated Russ and Charles. The company said: “Russ and Charles were flying the revolutionary BBHPP design, which has created a bit of a stir on the competition scene due to its clear performance advantage over the rest of the field.”
