For the second consecutive year, UP ran an online competition for pilots of its gliders, the UP Streckenfieber. The 2014 comp counted flights on UP gliders between 1 March and 30 September 2014. The overall winner was team pilot Brigitte Kurbel, who flies a Trango XC2 and X-Light 2. She wins a brand new UP wing of her choice.
Brigitte also topped the DHV XContest female rankings by a considerable margin, flying mainly from her home sites in the eastern Alps (Hochfelln, Speikboden, Grente).
This is a 211.4km FAI triangle flight Brigitte flew in July, winning her a German record.
