AirDesign have announced the release of two new gliders.
The Ride is the company’s new tandem and is certified EN B.
Available in two colours plus all-white for branding and logos, the company say the glider is designed as a “hard-working commercial tandem” as well as a recreational tandem.
“The Ride inflates and rises easily … and settles above the pilot’s head allowing plenty of time for dealing with pre-flight and passenger issues,” say the company.
“In flight it sits overhead and feels pressurised and solid, irrespective of the wing loading.”

The second glider is a lightweight version of the Volt, the company’s benchmark EN C paraglider.
The Volt SuperLight uses Porcher Skytex 27 cloth for the bottom sail, ribs and part of the top sail, and has unsheathed main lines. The weight has been reduced by about 30%, say AirDesign, which means the medium size weighs in at 4.4kg. It’s available in AirDesign’s Tibet colour scheme.
