Masterclass: SIV and staying safe in the air with Jocky Sanderson
19 July, 2024
When it comes to SIV there is no one more experienced than Jocky Sanderson.
In this Masterclass Jocky explains the simple manoeuvres every pilot should know to control their wing and keep it flying on course when the inevitable happens, whether that’s a collapse, a cravat or a wingover gone wrong. He says the key is to understand we’re on a pendulum. “We’re rolling, we’re diving in pitch, we’re wingovering and we’re yawing. All of this is happening in delayed time and a lot of pilots forget that. We are all flying under this beautiful aircraft that pendulums to our advantage – and disadvantage.”
In these videos Jocky will walk you through the essential inputs you need to make, as well as when and how strong you need to make them.
