The Honey is Windtech’s new EN A paraglider aimed at new pilots intent on flying cross country safely. It was certified at the start of September, and is described by Windtech as “the perfect all-round wing for all kinds of conditions”.
The company say its advantages are good durability, accessibility and uncompromising safety and the best glide and sink rate in the category.
Windtech say it is very stable, even on full bar, with simple inflation and ground handling. The battens in the leading edge help on launch and maximize performance during accelerated flight.
Long brake travel keeps an inexperienced pilot safe from the perils of accidentally stalling the wing, while the brake geometry has been specially designed to improve manoeuverability and make the brake pressure lighter.
Windtech say that extremely tight quality control system in their factory ensures a perfect product every time, and thanks to the quality materials used, hundreds of hours of flight are achievable without any noticeable wear.
The Honey uses a three-riser system and minimal line consumption to reduce drag.
It is available in three sizes, for all-up weights of 75-125kg.
