APCO’s new acro wing: the Twister MK II

APCO have replaced their original  Twister acro wing with a MK II version, still in the same striking design with ‘eyes’ on the top surface.

The canopy has been trimmed at 43km/h and is fast and dynamic with “rock solid” tips and better energy retention, say APCO.

APCO also say the changes mean the new model is now better for Infinite Tumbling and is more stable in Helico with less twist tendency, as well as being smoother in high-G manoeuvres.

Construction-wise, the Twister MK II is made from hi-tec, super light and strong cloth. APCO have used their new design Flexon battens, which they say will mean perfect launches throughout the life of the wing.

The leading edge and ribs are tape reinforced, and there is a span-wise tape tensioner on the A and B hook-up points. APCO say they used Cousin’s Technora lines because they do not stretch or shrink or suffer friction burns.

While two APCO eyes look out fom the top surface, they have left plenty of room on the bottom surface for sponsorship logos.
