2009 Red Bull X-Alps winning team Chrigel Maurer and Thomas Theurillat will be giving a slide show and talk on “the Red Bull X-Alps 2009 – as it really was” at the Salzburg Mountain film festival tomorrow night, 7 December.

The duo, X-Alps team SUI1, will be offering an insight into how they reached Monaco in a record nine days, 23 hours and 54 minutes to win the fourth edition of the race.

The talk begins at 6pm at the Das Kino in Salzburg, fittingly the city that was the start point of the race in 2009, and will be again in just seven months time.

Also showcased at the event is John Silvester’s award-winning film Birdman of the Karakoram. If you can be in the area and can get by in German, it promises to be an event not to be missed.
