A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck Colombia on 10 August, killing more than 300 people, injuring thousands and causing extensive damage to buildings across the country. The epicentre was close to the famous site of Roldanillo in the Cauca Valley, and Roldanillo was impacted badly.

The flying community responded immediately, with Lucho Jimenez, a well-known competition organiser and guide in Colombia, starting a fundraising campaign aimed at pilots who wanted to help....
