The 12th FAI World Paragliding Championships take place in Piedrahita, Spain this summer, from 3 – 16 July. Registration is open and places are filling fast, with 116 pilots registered to date.
Team leaders can register their teams up until 3 May, but the pilots in the team also need to register independently, and pay their €478 entry fee (€190 for team leaders and assistants). Payments must be received by 17 May.
The base allocation for a team is one pilot plus one female pilot. Places left unfilled after 3 May will be allocated to nations according to the nation’s position in the WPRS on 1st May 2011, up to a maximum of 6 pilots.
There is lots of information on the competition website, including an overview of local conditions, typical tasks etc.
