UP’s top-of-the-range competition harness, the Fast Pro 2, is ready. It is EN/LTF certified and confirmed by the FAI as being allowed in category 1 competitions.
It has a thicker back protector than the original Fast Pro, and new, simplified leg pod closure system. UP say its new cockpit is spacious and aerodynamic.
The harness was wind-tunnel tested to maximise its aerodynamic efficiency, and UP say that unlike many of its competitors, it is longitudinally stable in the airflow: what this means is that if you hang the Fast Pro 2 from a single pivot point and switch on the airflow it will align with the flow, whereas UP say most other harnesses will settle at 90 degrees to the flow. This gives them the tendency to oscillate in the air.
Shipping of the Fast Pro 2 starts mid-June.
