The fourth round of the BPCup 2009 was run in tandem with the Blorenge party on August Bank Holiday weekend (29 – 31 August 2009). Mal Grace reports on an event that saw the weather get in the way of flying, but not partying.
With points being very close at the top of the leader board and two of the leading group unable to make this round, it was all set for a turn-around at the top. Everyone was looking forward to some good flying, comp tasks and some hard partying in the evenings.
Unfortunately the weather we have been blighted with this year continued, with either strong wind or rain or both together over the three days, so with no tasks everybody entered the spirit (excuse the pun, Calvo) of the Blorenge Bash and got down to some hard partying, and high expectations for the final round in Snowdonia to ensure a good end to the year.
