Over 100 pilots are preparing to do battle over the skies of Tapalpa, Mexico for the sixth and final edition of the 2026 SRS series. The SRS Advance edition runs from 7 to 14 November and organisers are hoping to lay on seven full racing tasks. The event is limited to 120 pilots and so far 101 men and 13 women are confirmed. The lineup includes many familiar names on the circuit.

Among them is Riley Ferré, who is back following an injury she sustained on the last day of SRS Skywalk edition in Bassano. Other leading women include Magdalena Janaway, currently second in the season’s female rankings and Summer Barham. Among the male pilots taking part are the season’s top ranked pilots, Pál Takáts, Luke Nicol and Arnold Castro, which offers the prospect of a thrilling end to the season.

SRS Advance Edition comes to Tapalpa 2026

Tapalpa is a two-hour drive south of Guadalajara, almost 500km west of Mexico City, and gateway to a perfect winter mix of mountain and flatland flying. The two launches of La Ceja and Gravedad Cero (2,150m) sit a kilometre apart on a sweeping ridge within the Sierra del Tigre mountains, just 20 minutes from town.

Take-off is a grassy meadow. The launch predominantly faces east to NE, meaning it catches the optimal morning thermals. Many pilots will stay on after SRS Advance edition. From 19-22 November there is a four-day flying festival at Nayarit, about a four-hour drive north. It’s home to two sites, Ceboruco Volcano and San Blas on the coast.
