Czech pilot Karel Vejchodsky launched his Gradient Avax XC 2 on Monday 28 July at Nove Sady in the Czech Republic, and landed 335.94 km later in Germany breaking the European distance record (yet to be ratified).
The flight, which began with a tow launch took Karel across the plains of the Czech Republic and across the border into German Bavaria, took Karel seven and a half hours.
