Nicole Schmmidt told her Nikita 5 she loved it – watch her preview video from May 2016 – and now freestyle pilots can get their hands on the serial version.
Icaro say it’s capable of taking talented freestyle pilots through to pro acro pilot status.
If you fly it lighter in the weight range, it will give you time to think and perfect your manoeuvres. Then load it up for maximum power – “It’s made to manage new-school manoeuvres like Misty-Reverse, Joker and Corkscrew”, they say.
Short brake travel enables fast changes from one manoeuvre to the next. At all Helicopter-transition manoeuvres, the wing turns willingly without hanging back. It stays extremely stable in Helicopter, needing only the smallest of corrections. The rotation speed in Helicopter is fast, and thanks to the new valves in the crossports a Twister can be induced in seconds.
The brake pressure is medium to hard hard, very precise and very noticeable when cutting off. This enables the pilot to induce a purposefully and abrupt stall.
The Nikita 5 is vailable in 17m², 18m² and 20m² sizes, and one bright colour scheme (pictured).
