AirDesign have announced the Hero 2, their new lightweight two-liner EN-D. It is designed for pilots who are passionate about distance flying, vol-bivouac and adventures.
Its 57 cells and flat aspect ratio of 6.95 are similar to the original’s. It is made from double-coated Dominico Dokdo-10DSF, with nose-guard patches on the leading edge to make it more robust. Full-chord Nitinol rods save weight and allow compact packing, while AD say the new inner structure will ensure long-lasting performance.
There will be five sizes, XS to L. The Hero 2 weighs 3.8kg in the M size with standard 12mm aramid risers, or 3.69kg with ultra-light Dyneema risers. The two colour options, pictured above, are Flame and Cloud.
