Francois Bon is France's first ever speed riding champion. Patrick Lachat in second and Cyril Planton third.

Francois Bon has become France’s first ever speed riding champion following the championship in Samoens which ended 5 April.

Francois, on his Gin Fluid, lead right from the off and beat second-place Patrick Lachat by a comfortable margin. Cyril Planton was third, and Sabine Duvivier the first woman champion, flying an ITV Pil-Pit.

50 riders from France, Switzerland, Germany and Spain competed in the five tasks: 2 slaloms, 2 freeride, and one derby. François Bon lead from the first day with his Gin Gliders ‘Fluid’, and became the first French speed riding champion in history by a comfortable margin… Patrick Lachat was second, and Cyril Planton third.
