Does all that beeping in flight annoy you? It does Bruce Goldsmith, 2007 Paragliding World Champion and longtime competition pilot.

In his latest Icaristics in Cross Country 149 he reveals he’s been flying instrument-free for three years. He says:

I believe flying without a vario makes you a better pilot. It also gives you more of a feeling of being at one with your senses and with nature.
